Personally my goal is to write a blog post every day. Two of my favorite bloggers, Fred Wilson and Seth Godin are brilliant at blogging everyday. Seth recently had his 3000th post in a row. Impressive and inspirational. I’ve aspired to equal this feat but I’m not having success.
There are a couple of reasons. One, it’s hard when I travel. I’m actually writing this post from La Guardia right now. The second and most important is ideas. I don’t always have something good to share. I like to think I’m a deep well of knowledge and pithy ideas, but not really. More often than not I just get plain old brain farts and the head doesn’t give me much to work with.
I’m going to change my goal to an objective. The pressure is killing me. Hats off to Godin, Wilson and anyone else posting everyday for years it is a true accomplishment.

I met Godin before he was a blogger. You know what he was? A book packager. A marketer. You know, a sales guy.
Godin has an amazing ability to see connections where others don't. That's what sales is all about.
Do it in your own way, Jim. Looking forward to your objective!

Don't fret Jim, you're doing a great job! I've been enjoying the blog and all the sales tips as I'm quickly approaching the launch of my first consumer product. You've been getting me in a good frame of mind.
Lookin forward to the new objective.

My objective is every weekday, and I haven't been able to achieve that either. However, one very important trick I learned is: sit down and write 5-8 posts every week. Keep rescheduling them when something important comes up and you want to write about something more timely. That's kept me going during most busy times.

I'd have to have 5 to 8 good ideas in my head at one time to do that.
You give me too much credit.
